The ARC-PA is hosting a conference at the airport Renaissance Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia, November 29-30, 2012 designed specifically to assist institutional individuals involved in developing a PA programs or who are considering beginning a PA Program between 2014-2016.
Conference registration deadline is October 1, 2012.
The conference is designed to assist institutional individuals involved in developing a PA programs or who are considering beginning a PA Program in understanding
- the institution commitment required to plan, develop and maintain a PA program
- the general processes and policies related to the accreditation of PA programs
- the specific processes and policies related to the provisional accreditation process
- the provisional accreditation application and descriptive report
- the preparation for and conduct of the provisional accreditation site visit
Who is Eligible to Attend:
- Institutional officials responsible for the development of new academic programs
- PA Program director, if hired.
- Institutional officials or program directors from institutions that have sent representatives to previous such conferences may attend again for a reduced registration fee.
Typically the institution official is a Dean, Department chairperson or individual designated by the institution president or provost. The ARC-PA will not consider a consultant as the individual responsible for the development of the program. Therefore, those serving as consultants to developing PA programs are NOT eligible to attend.
The ARC-PA will determine if those who apply are eligible to attend.
When: November 29-30, 2012.. Program will be held from 2 - 7 pm Thursday November 29, 2012 and from 7:30 am - 3 pm Friday November 30, 2012.
Where: Renaissance Concourse Atlanta Airport Hotel, Atlanta, Georgia, 30354. A block of rooms has been held at the hotel. Confirmed registrants will be given information about making hotel reservations.
Registration Fee: Registration is $1500 per person or $2500 per two registrations from the same institution. Representatives from institutions that have attended previous provisional conferences may attend this conference for a reduced fee of $1000. The fee includes all meeting materials, breaks and a buffet dinner Thursday night November 29, breakfast, lunch and breaks on Friday November 30.
The ARC-PA does NOT accept credit cards. All checks must be received no later than November 1, 2012 or registration will be cancelled.
