Hooray! The long awaited portal changes are here. The changes were implemented Monday, September 12, 2016 and a portal email went out today with a summary of the changes that occurred. The portal has been modernized, and, in addition, there are several changes in functionality. Please note that a new, updated HELP manual is available on the Program Management Portal. It is strongly recommended that you download the new HELP manual. In order to maintain a steady workflow, and to address the increase in program applications, the Commission decided at its September 2015 meeting to temporarily conduct additional commission meetings in January and July, beginning July 2016. Programs on a September agenda may be selected to be reviewed at the July commission meeting, and programs on a March agenda may be selected to be reviewed at the January commission meeting. No initial provisional reviews or probation reviews are conducted at January or July commission meetings.
Programs may not ask for placement on the January or July agendas. Programs placed on the January or July agendas will not receive advanced notification of the placement to the earlier agenda. Programs will receive information about accreditation decisions from the January or July reviews following those meetings.
At the March 2016 ARC-PA meeting, changes were made to the fees charged to applicant and accredited programs for accreditation services. The ARC-PA mission and philosophy statements as well as a review of resources needed to provide accreditation activities were important to the fee structure change.
