Entering the ARC-PA Provisional Accreditation Pathway

April 23-24, 2020

This conference will give individuals involved in the planning of a PA program an overview of the provisional accreditation process. It will provide an orientation to the Standards, address completing the provisional application and preparing for the initial site visit and give participants the opportunity to ask questions.

Dates and Times: The conference begins at 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 23, 2020 with sessions until 6:00 PM (followed by dinner, provided). On Friday, April 24, 2020 the conference begins at 7:00 AM (breakfast and lunch provided) and adjourns at 3:00 PM.

Space is limited. Priority registration will be given to programs attending for the first time who are on the Commission’s 2021 agendas. Limit, two attendees per program.

Registration:  Conference is full.  Registration has closed.

 Fees: The registration fee for the Provisional Pathway Conference is $2,000 per person.  The fee includes all meeting materials, breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner.

Registration fees must be received by March 6, 2020The ARC-PA does not accept credit cards. More information about payment of fees will be sent with conference registration confirmation.

Air, hotel and other travel arrangements should not be made until registrants receive confirmation of registration from the ARC-PA.

Travel: Attendees are responsible for making their own travel and hotel arrangements.

Hotel: The conference guest room rate at The Georgian Terrace is $199 per night plus tax, based on availability, single or double occupancy.  The hotel is 20 minutes (12 miles) from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. The ARC-PA has reserved a limited block of rooms from Wednesday April 22 to Friday, April 24.  To secure a hotel room at the conference rate, hotel reservations must be made by March 20, 2020.

Attendees must notify the hotel, at the time of reservation, that they are with the ARC-PA Provisional Accreditation Conference to obtain the group rate of $199.00.

Cancellation policy: Registrants who are unable to attend the conference for any reason may substitute, by arrangement with ARC-PA, someone else from the same institution at no additional expense.

  1. If a registrant is unable to attend an event and a substitution is not an option, the following refund arrangements will apply:
    1. Registrations cancelled 15 days or more before the event will be refunded 100%.
    2. Registrations cancelled less than 15 days before the event will forfeit $500 of the event fee and the remaining balance of the fee will be refunded.
  2. Refunds will be issued within 2 weeks after the event.

Clinical Postgraduate Conference

April 27- 28, 2020

This conference will give Clinical Postgraduate Programs interested in applying for an overview of the clinical postgraduate accreditation process. It will provide an orientation to the Standards, address completing the provisional application, preparing for the initial site visit and give participants the opportunity to ask questions.

Dates and Times: The conference begins at 8:00 AM on Monday, April 27, 2020 with sessions until 5:00 PM (Breakfast, lunch, and snacks provided.  Dinner on your own). On Tuesday, April 28, 2020 the conference begins at 7:00 AM (breakfast and lunch provided) and adjourns at 3:00 PM.

 Space is limited. Priority registration will be given to programs who have submitted a Postgraduate Applicant Information Form. Limit two attendees per program.

Registration Forms: Available here.  The form is due by February 28, 2020.  The ARC-PA will send confirmation of registration to the email(s) listed on the registration form.

 Fees: The registration fee for the Clinical Postgraduate Conference is $2,000 per person.  The fee includes all meeting materials and meals as outlined above.

ARC-PA Workshop Accreditation and You

July 25-27, 2020

Hilton Downtown, Cleveland, Ohio

This workshop will provide PA program faculty an overview of the accreditation process including sessions designed to give participants the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the interpretation of individual Standards 5th edition.  It focuses on bringing the Standards 5th edition and required data reports together as working tools for programs. Sessions will address the application and site visit, data collection and analysis over time for the self-study report and specific Standards cited most often in the 4th edition.

Dates and Times:  The Accreditation and You workshop begins at noon on Saturday, July 25, 2020 with sessions until 6PM (snack provided, lunch and dinner on your own).  On Sunday, July 26 the workshop begins at 7:00 AM (breakfast and lunch provided) and adjourns at 5:30 PM (Dinner on your own).  On Monday, July 27, the workshop begins at 7:00 AM (breakfast and snack provided) and adjourns at noon.

An optional Overview of Accreditation for new faculty is included in the workshop fee and will be held 9:30am-11am, Saturday, July 25, 2020.

Space is limited. Register early. Priority will be given to first time registrants from programs scheduled for site visits in 2020-2021. Programs are limited to two attendees per program. Individuals serving as consultants to programs are not eligible to attend.

Fees:
The registration fee for the Accreditation and You workshop is $1,500 per person. The fee includes all meeting materials, breakfast and lunch on Monday, breakfast on Tuesday and snack breaks throughout all days.

ARC-PA Self- Study Workshop

July 28-30, 2020

This interactive workshop will help participants understand and apply the elements of data analysis and appropriately document a robust ongoing self-assessment process.  The workshop will require participants to actively engage in data analysis as it relates to the Self-Study Report required of programs undergoing accreditation review under the Standards, 5th edition.

Dates and Times:  The Self Study workshop begins at 8am on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 with sessions until 5PM (breakfast at 7am provided.  Lunch and snacks provided, dinner on your own).  On Wednesday, July 29 the workshop begins at 7:00 AM (breakfast, lunch and snacks provided) and adjourns at 5:00 PM (Dinner on your own).  On Thursday, July 30, the workshop begins at 7:00 AM (breakfast and snack provided) and adjourns at noon.

. Register early. Programs are limited to one attendee per program. Priority will be given to:

  • Programs scheduled to submit a 3 Year Out Self Study Report from September 2020 through December 2021
  • Programs scheduled for a Provisional Monitoring, Final Provisional, or Continued site visit from September 2020 through December 2021
  • Programs scheduled for a focused site visit that requires a self-study report submitted between September 2020 through December 2021.
